After almost one year of complete inactivity yesterday I started to take care of this website.

As  usual , I will try my best to arrange informations as best as I can.

Using Fon at Montefiore Residence

Fon is the company who controls the wifi access in our residence. Fon is something more than just another wifi provider around the world.

The thing that makes Fon unique is that you can connect for free if you agree to become a Fon member . Unlike the others wireless Internet providers the fon network is built by users.

You can buy a wireless device named La Fonera from Fon online store , and once connected this device to your ADSL router at home , you are ready to share part of your connection to others Fon members that could be in the neighbour of radio signal.

In return when you will be abroad , whenever you’ll find a Fon spot , you’ll have the benefit of free surfing the Internet.

But there’s more. When you sign up to Fon you have the option to be Linus or Bill. If you choose to be Linus , you will become a non profit member of the community with free roaming throughout the entire network.

If you want to become Bill you can get some money from people who connects to your hotspot. For every daily pass sold at the fee of 3,00 Euros you get roughly one third of the income , the rest belongs to Fon.

If you don’t want to join the wifi sharing community and you just want to connect to the Internet through a Fon spot , you can simply buy a one day pass at 3,00 Euros or a five day pass at 10 euros.

If you plan to stay at our residence Montefiore, and want to have wireless Internet , I suggest to register to Fon before coming here.

Whether you decide to be Linus , Bill or Alien , your social wireless network is waiting for you at Montefiore Residence and in other 200.000 hot spots spread all over the world.

May the 1st in San Baronto

Every year on May 1st in San Baronto a nice event takes place along the streets of small village of San Baronto.

It’s the Fierucola , a street market of artisan embroidery makers , wood carvers , pottery makers ,farmers food products and more .

It’s not such a big event , but it’s a nice opportunity to stroll quietly among the stands , to taste some genuine fingerfood or a good glass of wine.

A worthy small piece of time of your vacation , very near to our residence , just for rest after a long day visiting major attractions in our surrounds.

New Montefiore Vacanze website

Spring is coming and we hope that this year we will have more and more guests.

In this winter this website has been taken down without any update and improvement. Starting from now , I decided that this web site won’t be just like all other hotel ones.

The core infact is a blog , where I will try to put some updates about our stuff , some news concerning events in the nearby or simply just what’s in my mind in a particular moment.

From the pages of this blog you can find also static pages of our picture gallery , our contacts and also an online booking system (I’m just starting to work on it , isn’t yet finished )

Temporary home page loaded

I finished right now to build the new home page of montefiorevacanze.com.

I’m not a web designer and I don’t want it to be , so I edited a very simple layout with some tables and a couple of links. The main point is that now the picture gallery engine is laoded and waiting for pictures to upload . Besides , I found a nice script for online reservations and booking managment to be installed in our website. It’s an italian script but has full support for english and spanish language.

In the next days , I will try to prettify the home page at the best of my capabilities , which means that the result will be ugly at the best.

What happened to Montefiorevacanze.com

Dear Montefiore Vacanze visitor.

On August 31 our host provider Jatol.com went on bankrupt . This crazy thing happened without any advise and suddenly , so I didn’t succeed to make any backup to the site.

Result : one week of down of the site , and loss of all data , especially the picture gallery.

Now I moved the site to another host provider , and built this blog just to let you know what happened.
